CHRISTOPHER STAUFFER, Store Manager

Christopher Stauffer grew up and graduated high

school in Enterprise, OR; continuing on to college

online for a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration

from Eastern Oregon University. Chris has been a part

of the Carpet One team since July of 2013. For three years

he worked at the Enterprise store then an additional three

years at the La Grande location in sales and installations. He

is now Store Manager for Baker City Carpet One. He loves

living, working and volunteering in Eastern Oregon doing

outdoor activities like backpacking, volunteer firefighting

and working on old shop trucks. Chris has a daughter,

Claire with his wife, Erin.

SAM TOLMAN, Sales Professional

Sam was born in Utah and raised in Colorado. She

attended the University of Northern Colorado where

she majored in Communications. Sam moved to Oregon

when she got married and settled in Baker City 4 years

ago. She loves to spend time with her husband and her

two dogs outdoors on a camping trip or taking her nieces

and nephews to do activities. She also loves to read, quote

movies, and embroider. Sam is a new member to Carpet One

as a Sales Professional, but has been in the sales industry for

over 16 years.

KRIS GOERTZEN, Sales Professional

Kris Goertzen was born & raised in Manitoba, Canada where

she graduated high school. She spent 7 years on the east

coast of Canada in Saint John, New Brunswick before moving

to Baker City where she has lived for the last 21 years. Twenty

of those years were spent working at Baker City Carpet Express

here she gained much experience in the flooring industry. She

has enjoyed working with & getting to know many in the community

and hopes to continue doing so with Carpet One. In her spare

time, she enjoys reading, working in the yard and volunteering

in Bible education as one of Jehovah's Witnesses.

IAN PENGELLY, Warehouse Manager

Ian Pengelly was hired at Carpet One shortly before

the store opened in early 2018. As the warehouse

manager, Ian keeps track of the materials and products

needed to make sure projects are completed on time

and on budget. Ian has a background in electrical and

plumbing supply and technical work, and was instrumental

in helping get the warehouse set up prior to opening.

Ian graduated from McLoughlin Union High School in

Milton-Freewater, Oregon, and has lived most of his

life in Eastern Oregon and Eastern Washington.

Ian is passionate about spending time outdoors

fishing, hunting, and gathering shed antlers and mushrooms.
